RCCG holds Redeemer’s Day in 59 regions
The Redeemed Christian Church of God is set to have the annual Redeemer’s Day programme, a two-day event featuring sports, science and art exhibitions, literary performances, march past, and praise parades to celebrate God’s faithfulness upon RCCG schools.
In a statement, the church states this year’s edition, themed “Greater Heights,” will take place across all 59 RCCG Regions in Nigeria between March 14 and 15, with the grand finale on Saturday, March 15.
The statement quoted Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer and overseer of RCCG’s formal education arm, confirmed that all arrangements for the event had been finalised.
The Christ the Redeemer’s Schools Management (CRSM), the church’s overseeing body, has designated representatives to monitor the event across the Regions.
Redeemer’s Day was first held 25 years ago at Redemption City (formerly known as Redemption Camp), featuring over 100 schools. Due to the rapid growth of RCCG schools, the event was decentralized 10 years ago and has since been celebrated regionally, with about 400 RCCG schools now participating nationwide.
