Natasha’s recall petition did not meet constitutional requirement, INEC says
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared that the petition seeking the recall of Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, the senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, failed to meet the necessary constitutional requirements.
In a post shared on its official X (formerly Twitter) page on Thursday, INEC stated that the recall petition did not satisfy the provisions of Section 69(a) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended).
“The petition for the recall of the Senator representing the Kogi Central Senatorial District has not met the requirement of Section 69(a) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended),” the commission wrote.
