
Foursquare Church inaugurates hostel, bakery at McPherson University
Reverend Dr. Samuel Aboyeji, General Overseer, Foursquare Gospel Church in Nigeria, has inaugurated a state-of-the-art students’ hall of residence, bakery, and cafeteria at McPherson University, Seriki Sotayo, Ogun State.
The multi-million naira projects are aimed at providing conducive living and learning environments for the students of the university.
Speaking at the event, Rev Aboyeji praised the university’s management for prioritising students’ welfare and academic excellence, emphasising the importance of quality education and infrastructure in shaping the future leaders of Nigeria.
He hailed the giant strides of Prof. Francis Igbasan, the Vice Chancellor of the institution, towards ensuring adequate and quality education to students of the institution, stating that he has lived up to expectations, and the entire Foursquare Gospel Church is proud of him and not disappointed for appointing him to head the institution.
In his remarks, Prof Igbasan said the Visitor to the institution and also the General Overseer of Foursquare Gospel Church, has been a pillar of support to him since he was appointed the Vice Chancellor of the institution.
He described the inauguration of the projects as a significant milestone in the history of the institution because inaugurating of three projects at a time inside the institution is happening for the first time.
Prof. Igbasan added that the infrastructure became necessary as the institution continues to strive to provide a world-class living and learning environment for students, noting that the projects represented the commitment of the institution towards excellence in its pursuit of ensuring the highest standard in education and student life.
“The edifice has a total of 51 ensuite rooms and will accommodate a total of 204 students. The facilities also have a spacious common room area for socialisation and relaxation and laundry room.
“Our goal is to make our students comfortable and we are determine to make things better through provision of modern hostel facilities,” he said.
