Aiyedatiwa congratulates AGAPE on 35th anniversary

Acting Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa has congratulated Agape Christian Ministries Worldwide on its 35th anniversary, declaring the church as a spiritual haven where people find friendship, support, and a profound sense of purpose.

The Acting Governor made the remarks while speaking as Special Guest of Honour at the Special Service of the Church’s 35th Annual Convention held at the Church Headquarters, 1, Agape Avenue, Ilesha Road, Akure on Sunday.

Among the state council that accompanied Aiyedatiwa to the service are, Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Deaconess Omolola Fagbemi, Special Adviser to Governor on Education, Dr (Mrs.) Olawunmi Ilawole, Press Secretary to the Governor, Office of Acting Governor, Kenneth Odusola-Stevenson, and Special Assistant to Governor on New Media, Ladi Okunniga.

The special service brought to a climax a week-long spiritual activities marking the Church’s 35 years of existence.

Aiyedatiwa, while rejoicing particularly with the founder/General Overseer of the church, Bishop Felix Adejumo, and his wife, Rev (Mrs) Funke Felix-Adejumo, said the 35th anniversary is a reminder of how faith continues to uplift and inspire even in times of challenges.

“On behalf of Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, CON, the government, and the good people of Ondo State, as Agape Christian Ministries celebrates its 35th anniversary, it is with deep gratitude and reverence that we first appreciate God, our heavenly father.”

“To God, our source of strength, guidance and blessings, we offer our heartfelt thanks for God’s amazing love and grace that have sustained the church, founder and members through these fruitful years.”

The Acting Governor said the State Government would continue to provide enabling environment for everyone to express their faith.

National President of Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Francis Wale Oke, who was the guest preacher at the service said the growth of Agape Christian Ministries is amazing as the church is matching forward in Christ.

Bishop Oke whose sermon dwelled on ‘The Amazing God’ said, that whoever is closer to God, will have amazing supernatural experiences of God.

“The more you know God, the more amazing you will be, and without God, we are nothing,” he enthused.

Special prayers were held for Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, for his quick recovery.

Agape founder and General Overseer, Bishop Felix Adejumo expressed his appreciation particularly to the Acting Governor for his presence as he thanked God and his church members for the journey so far.

Also at the service are, Chairman, Ondo State Council of Obas and Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Iralepo of Isinkan-Akure, Oba Oluwagbenga Ojo, Rev. Mrs. Funke Felix-Adejumo, Queen (Evangelist) Naomi Silekunola, Chief and Mrs Oyinsan, Clergymen, businessmen, political and community leaders and church faithful.
