Segun ‘Success’ Olanrewaju, a former National and West African light-heavyweight champion, has passed away after collapsing during a boxing match in Ghana on Saturday.
Olanrewaju lost consciousness while facing Jon Mbanugu, Ghanaian boxer at Fight Night 15 of the Ghana Professional Boxing League at Bukom Boxing Arena.
The Nigerian boxer was reportedly leading on points before the tragic incident occurred.
In a video, which has since gone viral on social media, News Nexus observed him collapse on the ring.
The boxing community has since been thrown into mourning following his sudden death.
