Nigerian Air Force officers block Ikeja Electric office, assault workers over disconnection

Some Nigerian Air Force (NAF) officers have barricaded the office of Ikeja Electric over electricity disconnection.

It was alleged that the military personnel assaulted staff of the company.

In a video making the rounds on X, the van of the Nigerian Air Force was seen at the main entrance of the electricity distribution company in Lagos on Thursday.

A staff member of Ikeja Electric who is not authorised to speak confirmed the development.

Similarly, efforts to reach Folake Soetan, Managing Director of Ikeja Electric, and Air Commodore Olusola Akinboyewa, the Nigerian Air Force spokesperson, were unsuccessful.
